A two-story house with white siding, green trim, and a brick chimney, surrounded by a lawn and a tree.

Hi, I’m Erana Cadwallader - Owner of Middlewood Homestead.

Middlewood is more than a small business — it is a sanctuary born from healing, growth, and the quiet beauty of living close to the earth.

This historic homestead has been part of the Kiwitea community since the early 1900s, having hosted weddings, church services, and even births. It is said to have welcomed Queen Elizabeth herself—although that chapter of its history is still waiting to be formally recorded.

Since 2020, Middlewood has been lovingly owned by my husband, Kaden, and me, Erana. During a deeply challenging chapter of my life—marked by two hyperemesis pregnancies, a surgical injury from a traumatic caesarean section, endometriosis, and ultimately the physical release my body needed through a hysterectomy—this land became a place of profound healing. Middlewood restored my soul in ways medicine alone could not.

Today, it has transformed into a space where homesteading and spirituality meet. It is a place of handmade offerings and everyday nourishment for both body and soul, where I can extend support, love, and empowerment—rooted in the strength and history of this land.

Every product is created in small batches and bound with intention. Using herbs and flowers grown in our own garden, each piece carries the energy of nature and reflects our values of authenticity, mindfulness, and deep respect for the earth.

Middlewood is grounded in the belief that healing is both personal and collective. From skincare to soul care, our creations are designed to inspire self-connection, inner confidence, and intentional living.

This is a space for those who value earth-based living, mental health advocacy, and the quiet power of ritual.

Welcome to Middlewood—where homestead living meets soulful care, and where history is woven into the very wood that surrounds and supports this work.
